Biographical Information
Michael Landon-Murray is an Associate Professor in the College of Public Service (CPS) at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. He completed a Ph.D. in Public Administration and Policy at the University at Albany (SUNY), a Master’s of Public and International Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh, and a BA in Political Science at the University at Buffalo (SUNY). Mike is also a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Citizens Academy. Before coming to CPS, he was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at El Paso’s National Security Studies Institute. He also held a joint appointment in the New York State Governor’s Office and NYS Department of State as Special Assistant to the Local Government Policy Advisor. His research has been featured in Intelligence and National Security, Public Integrity, the International Journal of Intelligence and Counterintelligence, The International Journal of Intelligence, Security, and Public Affairs, The Washington Post, The New York Times, and Harper’s Magazine. He co-edited Researching National Security Intelligence: Multidisciplinary Approaches, published by Georgetown University Press in 2019. He is the Educational Practices Chair for the International Association for Intelligence Education.
