The UCCS Center for Human Security addresses complex global security issues through education, research, and community engagement. It collaborates with talented faculty, staff, students, and partners to prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from security threats.

The Public Safety Initiative provides evidence-based academic quality training and non-academic credit educational services to law enforcement and public safety agencies. Their goal is to improve community quality of life through collaborative governance, innovation, engagement, and research. The organization aims to fill the gap in public safety education in Colorado by providing affordable training options.
