I am a Professor of Political Science, Special Advisor to the Provost, and the Accreditation Liaison Officer to the Higher Learning Commission at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. Over my 32 years at UCCS, I served as Chair of the Department of Political Science in the College of Letters, Arts and Sciences, Assistant and Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Interim Provost, Director of the Compass Curriculum, and inaugural Chair of the Department of Public Administration. I completed my doctoral studies at the University of Texas at Austin and was on the faculty of the University of Miami before coming to UCCS. I continue to be active as a peer reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission.
