Biographical Information
John Barnett is an Associate Teaching Professor in the College of Public Service at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. He has over 25 years of federal law enforcement experience during which he conducted and supervised felony-level criminal investigations, counterintelligence operations, and other national security activities. John retired from the Air Force’s Office of Special Investigations in 2020. He received his B.S. in Business Management from Penn State University as well as receiving his M.S. in Criminal Justice from the University of Southern Mississippi and M.A. in National Security Affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School. John also was selected for a National Defense Fellowship where he attended the Washington Institute for Near East Policy and examined international security and defense issues.
