Biography

Shawna Lippert is the Economic Development Manager for the City of of Colorado Springs. Shawna provides support for economic development projects relating to development and redevelopment, business attraction, business retention and expansion, and special priority projects. Shawna also provides oversight and support to the City's Rapid Response Program and small business development initiatives.

Shawna's professional experience includes over 20 years of program and project management experience in for-profits, non-profits, higher education, municipal gonvernment, and small business sectors. Shawna was the interim executive director of the Colorado Small Business Development Center (SBDC) serving the Pikes Peak region, co-founder and program director of the Office of Professional & Executive Development at the University of Colorado - Colorado Springs (UCCS), and program director of the EPIIC Venture Attractor through the El Pomar Institute of Innovation & Commercialization at UCCS. She was also an adjunct instructor of undergraduate business and innovation courses at UCCS for over seven years.

Shawna has a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Management from New Mexico Highlands University, and a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Innovation Management from the University of Colorado - Colorado Springs.
