Biographical Information

Stacey worked in Victim Services and spent a short time as a patrol officer before deciding to teach full time. She is a member of the Rocky Mountain Association of Identification as well as the FBICAAA Alumni Association. She specializes in hate groups and group violence and crime scene investigation. She served as the Chairperson for the City of Denver Crime Prevention and Control Commission for 5 years and this work resulted in reduced recidivism and streamlined processes within community corrections and better outreach to homeless populations. In 2009, she received the FBI Director Leadership Award for her contributions to the community. She is most proud of her work advocating for marginalized communities and introducing law enforcement careers to under-represented populations.
